Sue
Brown BHSAI, MCSP is
a Recommended Associate of the Intelligent Horsemanship
Association. Sue completed the Monty Roberts Preliminary
Certificate of Horsemanship in June 1998, having
ridden since she was 3yrs old and worked with horses
since 1990. Dedicated to ongoing professional development,
she recently achieved a pass at Parelli Partnership
Level. In 2005, Sue qualified as a chartered physiotherapist
(human's only so far)and in 2007 qualified as an Equine Body Worker. The combination of knowledge
from her physiotherapy work and her equine background
enables her to offer a holistic approach to working
with both you and your horse.
Sue works freelance with the horses during evenings
and weekends, dealing with all shapes and sizes
from miniature Shetlands to racehorses. She offers
both groundwork and ridden instruction, and particularly
enjoys working with nervous riders to increase their
confidence and improve their relationship with their
horse. Sue spends much of her time working with
youngsters, from handling (for example picking up
feet), leading and long lining, to help and advice
with starting and hacking out. She also enjoys working
on loading problems and visiting people who don't
necessarily have a problem at all, but want guidance,
support, and reassurance that they are working along
the right lines. Sue is based in Thame, Oxfordshire(www.holistichorsehelp.com)
, and is able in certain
cases to take horses for schooling.
Sue
has a real passion for her work, both physio and
equine, and her aim is that being with your horse
should be a pleasure for both you and the horse.
The development of the workshops has given Sue and
Sandra the opportunity to offer Natural Horse Sense
to a far wider audience, with plenty of learning
and laughter thrown in for good measure!
