Sandra Williams (Nee: Luxford)Recommended Associate of the Intelligent Horsemanship Association. Holder of The Monty Roberts Preliminary Certificate of Horsemanship

Sandra has had horses in her life for over 30 years and believes she's been very honoured.
She quotes "You can gather a lot of information over that period of time and I am lucky enough to be able to put it to good use".

She would like you to obtain a small insight into her life, allowing you to decide if she would be right to help you and your horse develop a better understanding for each other.

Sandra has never been particularly conventional in her horse husbandry, not feeling comfortable to follow the Pony Club route, she took to finding things out for herself, trial and error.
However her formal training was obtained whilst working at a B.H.S Riding/Training Establishment, from there she went on to work freelance in her local area gaining more knowledge and insight to the world of horses, before returning to a riding establishment where she taught mainly children how to ride and care for their ponies. Competing for 25 years Sandra enjoyed the many ups and downs of the Show Jumping Ring and a Cross Country Course.
She still has horses today and although there is no competing they are all kept busy working together to help others.

In 1999 Sandra's life changed forever, it was when she began her training with Kelly Marks that she discovered the last piece of the puzzle (or maybe it was the 1st piece of a new one!).
So inspired having watched Monty Roberts in 1996 at a Demonstration in Addington that Sandra started to plan. And here at last she was in a round pen learning about communicating with a young unhandled horse. By the end of 2001 Sandra had successfully completed all of her stages towards the Monty Roberts Preliminary Certificate of Horsemanship and became a Recommended Associate of the Intelligent Horsemanship Association at the beginning of 2002.
She now run's a small training yard with the help of Wispa, Jack, Bones & Echo, travels to parts of Bucks, Beds, Berks, Hants, Herts and Oxfordshire to help Horse and Owner discover a better understanding for each other. She is one of Kelly Marks Tutor's on the Intelligent Horsemanship courses and runs one day workshops with fellow R.A Sue Brown (Natural Horse Sense).
Sandra has studied in the use and benefits of The Bach Flower Remedies for Humans and Animals. "It is simplicity, combined with its all-healing effects, that is so wonderful. No science, no knowledge, is necessary and those who obtain the greatest benefit from this God-sent gift will be those who keep it pure as it is; free from science, free from theories, for everything in nature is simple." Edward Bach"

Sandra also makes and sells the ultimate working lead rope, "The Reece Rope".
