Monty Roberts grew up at his parents equestrian centre in California. His father's brutal methods of breaking horses horrified him, and through observation and a burning desire for a better, kinder way, Monty developed new training methods which he found could produce amazing results. He has joined-up with over 9,000 horses including priceless race horses and show horses, and solved the problems of countless equines whose experiences with humans made them unrideable or impossible to handle.

Monty demonstrates a deeper knowledge of our abilities to communicate with a horse and truly work as a team. He sends his message to horse handlers and horse lovers for the humane treatment of all horses, regardless of their discipline. This book applies Monty's Join-Up techniques to human relationships, delivering his powerful message of non-violent bonding to people.

In it you will find an in depth description of Monty's highly acclaimed Join-Up method, with his techniques fully illustrated in photographs and line drawings.
